The foundation of Zoom Rugs is built on generations of rug industry knowledge, craftsmanship, and hands-on experience dating back to 1981.
While the Sharma family spent decades in the wholesale rug trade across cities such as Atlanta, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, and San Francisco, the vision later evolved into a luxury service-focused company when Gaurav Sharma (Maxx) officially established Zoom Rugs in 2016.
Today, Zoom Rugs has become one of the Bay Area’s trusted names for luxury rug cleaning, rug restoration, and specialty rug care.

What truly separates Zoom Rugs is the experience behind the company. Our rug cleaning team brings over 33 years of professional rug cleaning experience, while our rug repair and restoration specialists carry more than 29 years of hands-on restoration expertise. These master craftsmen have worked with us for many years and are considered true “rug doctors” within the industry.
From delicate silk rugs to valuable antiques, Persian heirlooms, Turkish rugs, vintage pieces, contemporary designer rugs, and handwoven wool masterpieces — our team understands how to properly clean, restore, repair, and preserve them with precision and care.

Many rugs require specialized treatment that most standard carpet cleaners simply do not understand. At Zoom Rugs, every rug is individually inspected and treated according to its material, dyes, construction, age, and condition.
We are proud to be among the very few companies in the San Francisco Bay Area with the knowledge and capability to properly clean pure silk rugs in our own dedicated rug washing facility.
Unlike many companies that outsource specialty work to third-party plants, all cleaning, hand washing, and restoration processes are handled directly within our own facility by our experienced in-house team. This allows us to maintain strict quality control and provide true white-glove service from start to finish.
